Frequently asked questions
How do you ensure a high-quality, consistent product?
At MediPharm Labs (manufacturer of LABS Cannabis products), we are committed to manufacturing products of the highest quality that meet or exceed applicable regulatory requirements. All of our product offerings begin with high quality dried cannabis. We purchase from Canadian cannabis cultivators after they undergo our internal vendor qualification program. All received cannabis is graded against EP standards and our internal product specifications and any missing tests are conducted before being released into production. We choose suppliers based on their certification, reputation, reliability, and on their ability to deliver quality products. Reliable sources and consistent supply are critical to developing cannabis products that ensure predictable and consistent experiences for consumers. After processing, representative samples from every batch of cannabis products are tested.

What are terpenes?
Along with cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are among the most common bioactive compounds found in the cannabis plant. Terpenes act on our sense of smell (and taste); flavonoids act on our sense of sight, being responsible for the vivid colours of fruits and vegetables. With cannabis products, in fact, you can distinguish terpenes by familiar scents. A cannabis product that gives off a piney scent likely contains pinene, also found in many pine trees; a citrus smell is produced by the presence of limonene, found in lemons and oranges; a sharp fruity smell may indicate myrcene, found in both mangoes and hops.
What is the Endocannabinoid System?
The endocannabinoid system is a major neurotransmitter system that is comprised of receptors and their cognate small molecule binders. The system responds to endo (inner) cannabinoids that our own bodies produce. The ECS is believed to be a homeostatic regulator for many physiological processes in the nervous system and in peripheral organs. These processes are involved in appetite, pain sensation, mood, memory, inflammation, insulin sensitivity, and fat and energy metabolism – to name just a few. The ECS, in a very real sense, keeps us balanced.
